How a Group 15 Herbicide Can Improve Your Customers’ Soybean Weed Control
As you sit down with soybean growers to plan their 2025 weed control programs, herbicide-resistant weeds are, likely, an essential topic of conversation. If so, it’s important to consider the residuals that will go on their acres in future seasons.
“We know that Group 15 active ingredients…are a very good tool to help reduce resistance,” says Aaron Smith, Corteva Agriscience. “That’s why Corteva Agriscience decided to launch Enversa herbicide. This innovative new solution is the first soybean and cotton herbicide in our portfolio to feature encapsulated acetochlor.”
Now with federal and state registrations, Enversa™ herbicide is a novel Group 15 formulation that will deliver extended weed control up to four weeks on more than 20 of the toughest broadleaf and grass weeds, including Palmer amaranth and waterhemp.
“A Group 15 product like Enversa herbicide gives customers the ability to use that product across a multitude of crops in a program approach,” says John Richburg, Corteva Agriscience.
“The proprietary, encapsulated acetochlor complements tankmix partners by allowing Enversa herbicide to move from the leaf surface and drive to the soil,” Smith adds, saying. “This results in a residual barrier around the soybean or cotton plant.”
In this video, Smith and Richburg discuss the benefits of including a Group 15 product, such as Enversa herbicide, in a soybean weed control program.
In addition to being the residual tankmix partner of choice with Enlist One® herbicide to protect Enlist E3® soybeans, Enversa herbicide will fit perfectly into a program approach along with other Corteva Agriscience™ soybean solutions, such as Sonic® and Trivence® herbicides.
Enversa herbicide is available for use on soybeans, cotton, corn, sorghum, peanuts and sugarbeets in the 2025 growing season. You can check with your Corteva Agriscience representative to learn more about local availability.
