AGree Continues to Push for Bipartisan Farm Bill that Supports Farmers’ Profitability and Conservation

As the Farm Bill is set to expire, Deb Atwood, Meridian Institute Senior Fellow and Senior Advisor to AGree, released the following statement:

“We continue to hope that a bipartisan Farm Bill will be prioritized before the end of the year. We encourage Congress to work together to ensure farmers and ranchers have the support and stability they need.”

“AGree maintains that a Farm Bill should promote a farm’s profitability and resilience. We believe that achieving that goal will require a holistic approach that embraces diverse methods, like investments in rural infrastructure, market incentives that drive innovation, and robust conservation initiatives. Additionally, the Federal Crop Insurance Program must continue to provide a safety net that ensures farmers can recover from unexpected challenges like extreme weather events. We remain committed to advocating for policies that empower farmers by improving their access to agricultural data. With the right information and resources, farmers can make informed decisions about the best practices for their specific operations, ensuring long-term sustainability and success.”
