Kentucky American Seeds Joins Integrated Agribusiness Professionals

Integrated Agribusiness Professionals (IAP) continues to grow its membership with the addition of Kentucky American Seeds, headquartered in Hopkinsville, KY. Kentucky American Seeds is a full service, independent, ag retailer that covers the main crop production areas of Kentucky. Kentucky American Seed works with corn, soybeans, wheat, tobacco and various vegetable crops throughout Kentucky.

Kentucky American Seeds started as a seed conditioning facility in Hopkinsville, KY in 1987. In the fall of 2019, Kentucky American expanded into retail with 3 locations in the Western and Central Kentucky. By 2022, they expanded to 6 locations, with the addition of 2 existing retailers in the Purchase Area of Kentucky called Patriot Ag and another Kentucky American location in Western Kentucky. Today, Kentucky American has 7 locations with a new location going in next to their new “state of the art” seed conditioning facility in Hopkinsville, KY. This was all born from a Nutrien acquisition of Security Seed and Chemical, which was a 14 location independent retailer in Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana.

Kentucky American is based on the philosophy of “Agronomics 1st”. This is the cornerstone of their business and their approach to the market and customers. They want to provide Agronomic solutions to their growers at a fair price. Their employees have a passion to provide grower customers with the agronomic choices and products that help them grow the best crop in the most efficient way possible. By joining IAP, Kentucky American Seed will be able to offer an even more competitive option to their growing customer base.
