The Andersons Launches Aero-Blitz and Aero-Mino Fertilizers for Aerial Applications

The Andersons, Inc. has announced the launch of a new line of nutrients for aerial applications, Aero-Blitz and Aero-Mino. These products were designed by a team of precision agriculture experts to be applied at low use rates without sacrificing performance, making them perfect for drone, helicopter, and airplane applications.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Aero lineup of drone application fertilizers as a game-changer for the agricultural industry,” said Chuck Anderson, vice president and general manager of specialty liquids. “By combining precision with efficiency, this innovative solution empowers growers to deliver nutrients exactly where they are needed, optimizing plant health and yields while saving time and resources.”

The initial product release from The Andersons will include two new products. Aero-Blitz is an 11-7-4 with added micronutrients, including boron, iron, manganese, molybdenum, and zinc. Aero-Mino is an 8-0-0 with an amino acid blend to help with nutrient absorption.

“It is exciting to see results from our research trials with Aero-Blitz and Aero-Mino,” said Jessica Link, agronomist at The Andersons. “The corn treated with Aero-Blitz consistently showed larger ears with more kernel rows compared to the untreated check, demonstrating how application at key growth stages can significantly enhance yield.

“Similarly, the Aero-Mino treatment in soybeans led to a higher pod count and more uniform growth, which is crucial for optimizing production. These results highlight the value of targeted nutrient applications via drone technology, enabling growers to maximize their crop potential while minimizing inputs and field traffic,” Link continued.

Aerial application solutions from The Andersons can be used in agricultural applications where foliar fertilizers are applied. These products help boost crop health during stressful growing stages and can deliver essential micronutrients to help boost yields at harvest.
