Apache 1220 Self-Propelled Sprayer, Equipment Technologies
The Apache 1220 sprayer comes equipped with a 1,200-gallon product tank and a 100-gallon rinse tank. The unit is built with a Cummins Tier III engine capable of achieving 215 hp at up to 35 mph in speed.
Guardian Sprayer, New Holland
The Guardian sprayer features a four-wheel independent suspension and high-back air-ride seat to provide operator comfort, says the company. The unit comes equipped with 14 halogen lights, enabling it to operate in low light or nighttime conditions.
RoGator, AGCO Corp.
All 2013 RoGator models are equipped with Tier 4 interim-compliant AGCO POWER 8.4-liter diesel engines with e3 selective catalytic reduction technology. They also feature Norac UC5 spray height control systems and GatorTrak four-wheel steering as an option.
SpraCoupe 7660, AGCO Corp.
The SpraCoupe 7660 is equipped with a Perkins 1106D engine, which has been approved for use with B20 biodiesel products. The unit’s brake pedal has been replaced with a switch-activated park brake.
STS16, Hagie Manufacturing
The STS16, with its 1,600-gallon solution tank, has lower ground compaction vs. competitors’ 1,200-gallon sprayers. The unit comes with 72-inch ground clearance, front-mounted boom, balanced design and technology options. It is available with a 60/80/90-foot, 60/100-foot or 90/120-foot boom. A 365-hp Cummins QSL 8.9-liter diesel engine means the STS16 has the power for all types of field conditions.
4940 Sprayer, John Deere
The John Deere 4940 Self-Propelled Sprayer comes Direct Injection Ready, giving operators the ability to add a combination of product tanks and pumps to achieve in-line chemical injection. This allows the operator to maintain a clean solution tank, switch between crops and load faster. The 4940 features a 50-inch crop clearance, 1,200-gallon solution tank and the ability to quickly be converted to a dry machine by installing a 200- or 300-cubic foot New Leader drybox spreader. The 4940 provides for faster dry application speeds and empty transport speeds up to 35 mph, says the company. To make application more precise, the 120-foot booms come in 11 independent sections. The 4940 Sprayer is powered by a 340-hp, 9-liter Interim Tier 4 PowerTech Plus Turbocharged engine.
Patriot 4430, Case IH
The Patriot 4430 sprayer features a 1,200-gallon tank and a 8.7-liter Case IH FPT engine which can achieve up to 365 hp. The unit also is designed with Selective Catalytic Reduction technology and meets Tier IV emission standards. The Patriot 4430 comes equipped with the AutoFold Plus boom fold/unfold feature, which raises the boom out of the cradle and initiates the unfolding process using a single switch.
Saritor, Hardi North America
The Saritor features a variable four-wheel drive hydrostatic transmission and a heavy-duty hydraulic fold down ladder and wide walkways for easy access to the unit’s cab. Product tanks can come in 1,100 and 1,300 gallon sizes and Terra Force boom widths range from 90- to 132-feet.
Buhler SX275, Versatile Ag
The SX275 sprayer is equipped with a Cummins QSB 6.7-liter engine capable of achieving up to 275 hp. Boom lengths up to 120 feet are available and the unit boosts 48 inches of crop clearance in operation. The product tank can hold 1,200 gallons.
NITRO 5000 Series, Miller St. Nazianz
NITRO 5000 Series sprayers are built with Cummins engines and a single-pass cooling system to provide for easier cleaning and a better air flow, says the company. All units in the series feature the company’s four-wheel steering option, which allow users to perform a tight turning radius.
E325 Prowler, GVM Inc.
GVM’s E325 Prowler is the newest, most innovative self-propelled combo-unit, says the company. The E325 model Prowler offers a 325-hp engine and a 6-speed ZF Powershift WG210 transmission. It boasts 32 inches of crop clearance, 11-ton dry and 1,800-gallon liquid capacities, an AirRide cab with a larger windshield and a new Variable Coil Spring Suspension. The unit also works in conjunction with AgJunction system to provide logistics and diagnostics support.
