Verdesian Life Sciences Names Wendy Shusko Chief Financial Officer
Verdesian Life Sciences, a leading nutrient use efficiency company, has announced the appointment of Wendy Shusko as the company’s chief financial officer. In her role, Shusko will oversee corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, tax, accounting, internal audit, and risk management.

Shusko brings over 35 years of experience in financial leadership to Verdesian. Most recently, she held the position of chief executive officer and chief financial officer of STATinMED, a data and insight organization helping life sciences companies discover solutions to unique challenges.
She began her career with Shire Pharma, holding multiple financial leadership roles before advancing to become President and CEO of WellSpring Pharmaceutical. With three decades of experience, she has demonstrated success as a seasoned financial executive, including extensive work with Private Equity backed companies leading profitable organic growth and merger & acquisition initiatives. Additionally, Shusko serves as a board member of privately held Sheffield Pharmaceuticals.
Shusko attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington and Rutgers University, studying accounting.
She will be based out of the company’s Cary, NC office.
