Make Every Vote Count For Product Of The Year
Living in the battleground state of Ohio, I’ve been bombarded with endless political messages from both parties. While a select few of these ads have been informative and thoughtful, most have been outright attacks on the left, right and middle of various issues and candidates. I, for one, will be glad when Election Day comes next week so we can finally get back to the job of running things (rather than running against things).
But here at CropLife, this week marks the pivotal time in our annual CropLife IRON Product of the Year voting. For this contest, the polls close this Friday, November 2, and a new winner will be crowned (although the official announcement won’t happen for a few months yet). As I write this column, we’ve had more than 500 votes cast for the five worthy products competing in this year’s campaign. As a reminder, the finalists include the UniPilot from TeeJet, the NITRO 500 from Miller-St. Nazianz, the Aluminum Boom from Hagie, the Titan 30 Series floater from Case IH and the M3-SA Tender from Adams Fertilizer Equipment.
If you haven’t already done so, I would encourage you to vote for the product you thinks deserves to be christened “the best of 2012.”
Furthermore, I would encourage all of you to get out and vote next week as well. And may the best candidates – be they individuals or pieces of Big IRON – win.
