Every Vote Counts
Winter has arrived in earnest in Northeast Ohio. Since the start of December, our area (and several others across the Midwest) has been blanketed with many inches of snow. In fact, one day last week, I spent four hours trying to drive between our office and my home – a distance of 42 miles. In normal weather, this trip takes a little less than one hour!
With so many people likely stuck in their offices or at their home computers, now would be the perfect time to sit back and vote in the CropLife IRON’s 2010 Product of the Year competition. As always, five worthy products launched during the year are vying for the coveted “I” trophy. This year’s candidates include the SprayBib tire from Michelin, the STX10 sprayer from Hagie, the Apache 1020 sprayer from Equipment Technologies, the RoGator 1396 from AGCO and the E350 Prowler from GVM.
Since voting started in mid-November, more than 300 readers have cast their ballots. Voting will officially close at the end of day on Tuesday, December 21. To date, the top two vote-getters are separated by a mere 25 votes.
Personally, I love this award because the readers decide which product is more deserving. I also enjoy handing the trophy off to the winner at the annual Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association meeting in Peoria, IL, seeing how winning such an honor impacts the recipient. Thereafter, it’s always fun to attend some of the other winter trade shows and see the “winner of the CropLife IRON Product of the Year” posters accompanying the top product.
So if you haven’t already done so, please consider casting a vote for your favorite product from 2010. to vote.
And may the best product win …
