Keep the MAGIE Spirit Alive in 2020
July 20, 2020 As we witness many summertime events cancelling due to ongoing COVID-19 precautions, it was perhaps no surprise that the Midwest AG Industries Exposition (MAGIE) was one of them. While some states with more flexible COVID-19 policies may be able to move ahead with large events, the “Restore Illinois” plan doesn’t give much hope for any gatherings over 100 people to occur until a vaccine or widespread effective treatment is available.
That’s the situation, but it doesn’t dampen the spirit of MAGIE, which lives on!
In that spirit, the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association (IFCA) and CropLife IRON are working together to capture and share MAGIE moments, including reflections on past MAGIE shows as well as the anticipation for the 2021 show, which is scheduled for August 25-26 at the McLean County Fairgrounds in Bloomington, IL.
IFCA is grateful to have a strong media partner in Meister Media Worldwide and CropLife IRON to help us share the spirit of MAGIE far beyond the borders of Illinois! We have a special appreciation for all the MAGIE exhibitors, who are understanding of IFCA’s decision to cancel the show, but who continue to support IFCA and reinforce the value and uniqueness of MAGIE for the future benefit of the crop production supply and service industry.
For all of you who will miss MAGIE 2020 (and there are lots of us), thank you for your hard work throughout the pandemic to keep agriculture on track, sustaining the U.S. and the world with a plentiful and safe food supply, and doing it in a manner that continues to demonstrate and dedication to safety and stewardship.
We look forward to a celebration our perseverance and optimism at MAGIE 2021!
