Product Of The Year: A Patriotic Victory
For the past five years, CropLife IRON has sought the opinions of its readers to determine which product should be awarded the magazine’s highest honor, the Product of the Year Award. For a one-month timeframe each year, readers can cast their ballots for one of five product finalists based upon their experiences with these pieces of machinery and technology. In the end, one product stands out from the crowd. In 2011, this honor went to Case IH.
The company’s Patriot 4430 sprayer has been selected as the 2011 CropLife IRON Product of the Year by the magazine’s readers. The award was presented to Case IH at the Agricultural Retailers Association Conference and Exposition, held in Boca Raton, FL, last month.
“We are pleased that the industry recognizes the benefits the Case IH Patriot 4430 sprayer can bring to retailers, custom applicators and producers, helping them improve their efficiency, cover more acres with better accuracy and use less fuel,” said Ken Lehmann, Case IH application equipment sales and marketing manager, accepting the trophy.
“It is my pleasure to give this award to Case IH for a product that clearly has found a fan base among readers of CropLife IRON,” said Eric Sfiligoj, editor. “The Patriot 4430 may not have been in the market very long, but it has definitely made an impact with users.”
A Cut Above
The Case IH Patriot 4430 sprayer is the first sprayer to join the Case IH Efficient Power family. It features a Case IH FPT 8.7-liter engine rated at 325 hp. In addition, the Patriot 4430 uses Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to meet EPA Tier 4A compliance while providing more fuel efficiency and power.
The new Patriot 4430 also features an enhanced Surveyor cab design with 132-cubic-feet of interior space and more than 90-square-feet of total glass for better visibility. The cab may be equipped with the optional AFS Pro 700 display with both guidance and application control functionality.
