2020 ARA Conference & Expo is Going Virtual

The 2020 Agricultural Retailers Association Conference & Expo, which was to be held in person Dec. 1-3 in Las Vegas, is going virtual.

The following is a statement from ARA:

Many of us have been looking forward to an opportunity to meet face-to-face again this winter, but there is simply no way we can hold the event in Las Vegas under the government regulations related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The governor of Nevada’s phased plan for re-opening does not permit large gatherings to proceed as normal until Phase 4, the final phase of the plan. This is in line with CDC guidelines, which warns that the “highest risk” events are “large in-person gatherings where it is difficult for individuals to remain spaced at least 6 feet apart and attendees travel from outside the local area.”

This defines every activity at our annual conference. The governor has extended Phase 2 guidelines “until further notice” and it will be impossible to conduct our in-person event under those guidelines.

ARA is taking this opportunity to re-imagine the event structure and content into a program that will be engaging, unique and valuable to all virtual attendees. Details on transferring your registration to the virtual event or refunds will be coming soon.
