Here’s Why Twitter Provides the Perfect, Unfiltered Snapshot of #Plant20 and #Coronavirus
Ag professionals are facing unforeseen challenges as #plant20 officially kicks into high gear this month. And as agribusinesses respond to the coronavirus crisis with new social distancing policies to protect their employees, customers, and industry partners, and contingency plans for potential supply chain disruption, it’s hardly business as usual. Except that it is. Farmers, and the people and companies that support them, must grow on as they always do.
With that said, what better place is there to find an unfiltered snapshot of this unprecedented time in agriculture than on Twitter. It’s THE place where people speak their minds, for better or for worse. Thus, below you’ll find more than a dozen recent examples of insightful, candid, and even humorous tweets from ag professionals on how they are preparing for both planting and pandemic.
And be sure to let us know how you’re doing @croplifemag.

You've been doing everything right and following all the rules but WHAT IF #Covid19 hits your farm? Do you have a plan in place to make sure your spring work still happens? Use these guides and field sheets to create a plan that can be used if you can't be there. #plant20 https://t.co/0zSz265bFF

Hey farmers. Do you have a #COVID19 plan for #Plant20 if someone in the operation gets sick? I just realized we really don't have one. Being just essentially the two of us it's probably easier or harder than a larger operation depending on how things go.

Working local this week due to #coronavirus. Spent some time w/neighbor putting in his rice crop. Older, paid for equipment help keep smaller operations going.
Rice is planted flat and followed by a roller to secure the seedbed.
