New Label Rules For Registrants
October 29, 2008 Crop protection product manufacturers will now have to follow updated label requirements for storage and disposal.
The updated version of Chapter 13 — Storage and Disposal — of the Label Review Manual has been posted online by the Office of Pesticide Programs.
The revision provides a logical and clear presentation of the current storage and disposal requirements and guidance for pesticide labels. The storage and disposal section of a label should include instructions about pesticide storage, pesticide disposal, and container disposal/management. In general, registrants must add the new container management instructions required by the pesticide container regulations to the existing container disposal instructions.
The revised Chapter 13 shows how registrants can incorporate the new container statements into the existing storage and disposal instructions for a range of container types.
