CTIC Welcomes Pioneer As Corporate Member
The Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) welcomes the organization’s newest Corporate Member, Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business, a developer and supplier of advanced plant genetics.
“We are delighted to welcome Pioneer as a CTIC member,” said Karen A. Scanlon, CTIC executive director. “Pioneer’s strong commitment to stewardship and its global perspective on agricultural production brings additional breadth and depth to our organization as we carry out CTIC’s mission.”
Pioneer joins CTIC’s growing membership of agricultural companies, associations, organizations, media and individuals that, along with government agencies and academia, compose its unique public/private partnership dedicated to advancing agricultural conservation. CTIC celebrates its 30th anniversary this year as a trusted source of information about conservation and sustainable agriculture.
“Pioneer is committed to achieving a more sustainable future for people and the planet,” said Nancy DeLong, Pioneer senior business engagement manager. “A growing population means that we need to do more with less; we must feed more people on a fixed amount of arable land and ensure greater efficiency in water use. Our company has a long tradition of taking a collaborative approach to problem-solving, and I look forward to working with CTIC to champion sustainable agricultural solutions.”
