What They Needed
“As a part of our overall efforts to offer our customers innovative solutions to maximize profit continues to be our focus,” said Karl Hensley, senior vice president of agronomy at Central Valley Ag (CVA). “In 2014-15 our business plan was to develop a hub grain & agronomy complex very similar to what we built at Royal. Stueve Construction was instrumental in helping us design and build our Monroe, Oakland, Wakefield and Royal Hub facilities over the past few years.”
“When it comes to technology, efficiencies and operational ease we partnered with the industry leaders — Stueve Construction, Waconia Mfg. and Kahler Automation on our projects,” said Nic McCarthy, agronomy operations vice president. “Two building features that we really find important are the end bins are rounded which maximizes the storage capacity because we don’t lose tonnage in the corners. Plus, we still have the flexibility to add on to the non-receiving end of our building in a future phase.”
“The second feature is the elevated control room with a bump-out area for our plant operator. The view is fantastic and this is state-of-the-art technology at its best,” said Kent Meyer, region operation manager.
