United Prairie Increased Plant Productivity With Junge Zone Automation

Since 1979, Junge Control continues to provide ag retailers with highly accurate fluid and dry ingredient measuring, mixing and tracking systems, including its recent installation at United Prairie.

What They Needed

United Prairie (UP) General Manager Tim Hughes was looking for a very simple, seamless way to upgrade the company’s plant and reduce the time, cost, worker count and risk of blending. He was familiar with the technology, accuracy and simplicity of the Junge System because he had installed one for a previous application. And after UP bid it out, the company got exactly what it needed. Over the course of 12 months, UP installed new Junge Zone Automation Systems in four separate company plants. And Junge Controls technology not only exceeded the company’s expectations, but also saved it money since UP didn’t have to rely on seasonal help as much. The company also saw an increase in productivity in the field since using Junge Control.

What We Designed

Productivity skyrocketed at United Prairie after working with Junge Control. With Junge Zone Automation, United Prairie reduced worker count from four people to one person when blending and increased plant productivity by 50% overall. Operators now easily change batch sizes at the plant. Farmers immediately noticed the speed in loading and processing efficiency.

Product integrity, customer confidence and inventory accountability greatly improved. United Prairie discovered Junge’s SSI AgVance Interface Software was much easier to use. And simple plug-in/unplug panels were much easier to maintain than hard-wired panels.

Junge Zone Automation meant more productivity, lower costs, greater customer satisfaction and a better bottom line.
